Clinical Lead (under Sun Ray Scheme)

We are looking for Clinical Lead (Assistant Director) for our Social Service Agency (SSA). The SSA is a non-profit organisation founded to help youths build hope, find worth, empowering the next generation to live purpose driven lives, and to fulfil their potential in life. Their goal is to end powerlessness in youths, brought about by mental illness, poverty and social exclusion. One life at a time.

The SSA primarily conducts one to one interventive work with youths (ages 12-25 year olds) who struggle with their mental health. This is done through their helpline, and counselling & casework programmes where their counsellors and social workers work closely to support youths who may be struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety disorders, or suicidality. The Agency is also active in youth mental health outreach and public education work.


Roles and Responsibilities

As a part of the Agency's Youth Mental Health Team, the incumbent will be responsible for the following key areas amongst others:

1. Oversee and provide leadership to the in-house clinical team

2. Provide strategic direction and operationalization plans for the planning, development and delivery of integrated care programmes.

3. Oversee programme operationalisation, monitoring and evaluation of new and existing clinical programmes including management of caseload and wellbeing of clinical staff

4. Ensure that all clinical and related counselling services are provided in full compliance with the highest ethical and quality assurance standards

5. Work with management and staff to meet Agency's mission goals, enhance human resource, operations and administrative processes

6. Engagement with clients, partners, and leaders in the sector

7. Provide assessment, counselling, crisis management and case management for clients

8. Provide hands-on clinical supervision, coaching, and professional development workshops for clinical team fostering a team-oriented, supportive, accountable work environment. Clinical supervision may include:

· Individual clinical & administrative supervision

· Weekly team meetings for either skill share, peer supervision, or co-visioning

· Reviewing clinical case notes


Qualifications

1. Minimum 8 years of practice and work experience in social work, counselling, clinical psychology or counselling psychology.

2. Minimum 3 years of proven managerial or supervisory experience in leading teams

3. Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage various stakeholders in a growing organisation

4. Possess high level of integrity and strong sense of responsibility

5. Ability to work independently and also committed to being a positive team player and working collaboratively with staff at all levels with diverse backgrounds.

6. Able to work under pressure, adapt to change and manage challenges

7. Able to work with young people struggling with mental health issues

· Preferably with experience working in the mental health, healthcare, education or youth sectors

· Preferably trained in some form of Trauma Therapy (eg. TF-CBT, EFT...etc)

· Preferably trained or having experience with crisis management and suicide assessment

Sun Ray Scheme

Sun Ray is a centralised scheme administered by NCSS to develop individuals who have strong leadership qualities to lead professional practices and agencies in the social service sector.

To enable a holistic development. there will be structured rotation across social service agencies in different sub-sectors to provide individuals with cross-organisational exposure and support. The exposure will enable those on the Sun Ray to develop broader sector perspectives and gain deep sector knowledge to help the social service agencies that they are deployed to build capabilities and capacity.

We are looking for individuals with strong motivation and leadership capabilities to lead agencies or professional practices to achieve social impact in the social service sector.
