Description

  • Planning surveys in accordance with requirement of project and programme, and monitoring subsequent progress against programme
  • Surveys are for Project activities such as pre-con surveys, asset status surveys, design check surveys and post con surveys in relation to existing 3rd Rail and post replacement of 3rd Rail as well as precon and post con surveys of existing land in relation to staging areas and compounds
  • Working with planning team to ensure adequate Booking of track access, and recording variations in the agreed access dates and times
  • Organizing and mobilizing survey teams and subcontractors, and plant and materials as necessary
  • Ensuring supervision is in place and coordinated to cover each survey, and brief supervision of activities
  • Liaise with those undertaking surveys to identify any attendances required. Plan, organize and implement those attendances to ensure effective survey delivery
  • Develop Processes and recording regime for survey works
  • Ability to work in fast paced project environment and to manage effectively (identify and resolve) all last minute changes to the plans and programmes
  • Coordinate the development of programmes and RAMS for sites/groups of sites
  • Ensuring railway Safe System of Works Packs, Work Package Plans, Task Briefings and safety critical paperwork are in place
  • Monitoring ongoing cost of surveys and reporting against survey allowances
  • Completing initial site visits/assessments, capturing key/unusual site features i.e. restricted access, hazards etc
  • Identifying opportunities to share access/safety and welfare facilities across the package and year work banks to ensure surveys are delivered as efficiently as possible
  • Dissemination of survey information to key parties, i.e. designers, project team, line management
  • Single point of contact for In house Project team and survey teams - collate possession reports, progress details from teams and report to development managers weekly
  • Train/mentor assistants/graduates to provide support to the roles as necessary
  • Update trackers and collate diary sheets and feedback forms from surveys.

Key requirements:

  • Railway Experience
  • 3- 5 years of logistics managerial/ supervisory experience, including 2 or more years of site experience.
  • Disciplined to ensure that safety procedures are followed and adhered to
  • Good communicator & IT literate
  • Able to work in a collaborative project office environment with our team and supply chain partners
  • With a keen eye for detail, you will ensure that all aspects of your role are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
