Job responsibilities:
· Sources and prepares information for participation in tender exercise including
· Prepares plans and documents for quotations to suppliers that will be used as basis for pricing
· Obtains, compiles and evaluates quotations from the respective suppliers/vendors according to tender requirements
· Prepares bill of quantities which involves quantity take-off, materials sourcing, measuring and estimating material and labor costs used in the tendering process
· Carries out the detailed breakdown pricing in the excel spreadsheet
· Review and interpret Contract Documents with recommendation for contractual dispute
· Assist in administration of Extension of Time claim
· Source, negotiate and procure trade packages in compliance with requirement and time schedule including drafting of Subcontract Document
· Ensure that procurement functions are carried out in a highly ethical manner and all decisions are made on objective and defendable grounds
· Initiate, assist and lead in contractual and Variation management and documentation
· Assist in setting up and updating of projects budget on monthly basis
· Follows up effectively on payment certificate and payment with the clients
· Ensures the timely submission of VO cost on day to day or weekly basis and communicates with the project manager, timely submission of monthly progress claims, final account closing.
· Knowledge in M&E works is an added value
· Prepare quotations, cost estimates, and bills of quantities
· Prepare and submit tender
· Source & Procure required material and negotiate with suppliers & sub-contractors
· Manage tender administration
· Liaise with consultants, sub-contractors and supplier.
· Sourcing and purchase items required in tender, monitor project costing and issue purchase order
· Monitoring on delivery of goods purchased as per date required to meet the timeline of the projects
· Monitoring projects progress claims, variation order, omission works and meet the projects handover date
· Work closely with design team
· Ensure proper filing of purchasing documentation records from start to end of each project
· Knowledge in preparing cost proposals for new projects
· Knowledge in Interior Design industry or similar with interior decoration work is an added value
· Prepare quotation and prepare tender documents are an added advantage
· Knowledge in M&E works is an added value
Job Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years experience in QS
· Computer literacy especially in Microsoft Office application
· Possess good interpersonal communications skills, initiative and able to work under minimum supervision
