Responsibilities & Duties:
- Well-versed in Building Control Act 1989 and its latest revisions, have a working knowledge of the relevant statutory requirements, and comply with all the requirements concerning supervision, quality control, periodic reports, and other documentation
- Review and check all drawings and specifications, and to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved drawings and in compliance with statutory requirements
- Responsible for the supervision of Contractor’s daily works, progress, schedule and safety on site and coordination with the contractor, design office and other consultants.
- Assist in reviewing Contractor’s method statements and work procedures, and ensure Contractor follows closely
- Regularly feedback site progress and highlight any discrepancies and non-compliances to Developer, Architect and Resident Engineer
- Make arrangements with the Management Agent Representatives, Developer and Main contractor to schedule inspection with homeowners to identify defects, follow up sequence of work for defects rectification and submit report the defects after each inspection.
- Identify and prepare list of defects, monitor the rectification works and ensure all defects are appropriately rectified before handing over to homeowners
- Monitor and record the defect list after the unit is handed over to homeowners and ensure that defect rectifications are completed on time
- Support Developer/Architect/Consultants/Resident Engineer by carrying out administrative works and duties assigned
- Diligently issue site memos to the contractors as and when required to ensure their proper execution of the contracts.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior(s)
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or in any other fields (Certificates must be recognized by PE Board)
- Must be registered as Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with IES
- Minimum 5 years of site experience
- Excellent verbal and written English language
- Proficient in MS Office and Autocad
- Independent, resulted-oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills
- Experience in handing over unit to homeowners and/or defects management will be added advantage
