Job Purpose
- Ensure that DGF remains the leader in terms of volumes, quality, and profitability for the LCL product and always out-perform the markets DHL operates in
- Lead Business Strategy & Planning sub function for the region and provide input for business strategy to optimize resource management, develop scenarios and forecasts, and facilitate development and implementation of Group's strategic plans to ensure growth and profitability and advise top management in line with Group’s vision, strategy, standards, and protocols
Key Tasks
• Lead the sub-function’s strategy, plans and objectives for the region in line with Group’s vision, strategy, standards, and protocols
• Set direction, determine, and approve Business Strategy & Planning programs and initiatives for the region and take decisions following DHL protocols and standards
• Steer high impact plans for scenario development and forecasting for future resource allocation (financial, people, material and technological)
• Lead facilitation of development and implementation of DHL and/ or regional strategy
• Drive profitable growth – Close collaboration with commercial and pricing teams to define strategy and solution for strategic RFQs
• Steer countries to maintain competitive local rates to enable business customer volume growth
• Optimization of the LCL network, develop as many direct country to country consolidation services as absolutely possible.
• Maintain routing guide and ensure country adherence to it. Drive optimal procurement and contract negotiations of OFR, CFS and trucking contracts.
• P/L responsible for multinational gateways. Ensuring optimization of the payload into our consolidation boxes
• Spearhead timely and accurate preparation and sharing of information and analysis for regional financial planning and budget calculations
• Bring together information and forecasts across region and countries, consolidate and extensively analyze information and introduce into encompassing strategic planning process
• Direct, develop and monitor Business Strategy & Planning process for the region
• Drive and manage innovation in planning tools and methods across the job family, increasing effectiveness and efficiency
• Benchmark, develop and adapt functional processes, systems, and services in line with group standards
Stakeholders
• Extensive contact and negotiating with other departments and 3rd parties with conflicting objectives
• Influence and challenge key stakeholders effectively
• Develop strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with senior DHL business leaders
• Influence others across DHL and externally as an internally and externally recognized thought leader representing the Group
• Champion cooperation and partnership to provide integrated solutions to problems
Management Responsibility
• Lead multiple teams of lower-level executives, directors/senior managers, and managers
• Develop short to long-term (1-5 years) plans for optimizing the organization, function, or job-family and the talent required to execute strategies

Experience/Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree
• Minimum 8 years of experience in different management positions in a multinational logistics company with experience in OFR
• Lead the sub-function on a regional level
• Establish and implement strategies that have short to long-term (1-5 years) impact on business results in alignment with global and functional objectives
