Job Responsibilities
- Optimize underwriting and customer/portfolio management policies through use of analytics and champion/challenger strategies. Support balance building activities such as top-ups, refinance, attrition management, etc. Ensure risk/return profile is optimized and within the Bank’s risk appetite
- Support business banking product and credit programmes, including the review / estimation of risk parameters, risk policies, product pricing, product structure, regulatory requirements, and analytics support for the development and enhancements of programme parameters
- Generate, analyse and monitor portfolio risk and capital reports, scorecard performance report and booking profile. Provide regular and ad-hoc credit risk analyses and advisory to business managers, senior management, regulators and other key stakeholders
- Drive the use of scorecard and Basel II models in customer acquisition, portfolio management, collections and other areas of the credit cycle. Liaise with business managers, credit approval, collections and other stakeholders to obtain feedback on model performance, perform score cut-off reviews, plan for new model development / model enhancements, etc
- Work with segment, product and credit managers to develop / design customer management campaigns. Identify and highlight business trends and opportunities based on periodic review of portfolio analytics, predictive models and market intelligence
- Generate regular and ad-hoc portfolio / CRM analytics and MIS. Work with the Analytics Support team to managing / enhance the BB analytics datamart and support relevant systems enhancements
Skills & Experience
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative programme, such as Statistics, quantitative based Marketing, etc. MBA / post graduate degree is an added advantage
- 7-10 years of experience in credit risk management in a retail banking environment. Experience in the small business segment is highly desired
- Strong computing skills: SAS - Programming, Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner; SQL and database familiarity; MS Office applications, including advanced spreadsheet and VBA
- Analytical mind with sound business insight, excellent communicator (verbal and written), highly meticulous, and self-motivated
- Self starter, flexible with a proven ability to work well in teams, as well as being able to function with minimal supervision. Proven track record in driving business performance
