Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the IT department to develop and maintain IT infrastructure and systems and ensure smooth operations and service delivery to business users.
  • Establish and manage the implementation of IT strategies and plans to ensure data/information security and drive optimal organisational effectiveness and efficiency, including identifying innovative IT solutions.
  • Work with the Heads of Business Units and Functional Heads to set and implement latest and best IT policies and process improvements to ensure data integrity so that the right stakeholders have access to the required data/information for best infrastructure business decision making.
  • Develop and implement the IT Strategic Roadmap.
  • Implement IT projects from conceptualisation to implementation with effective and comprehensive project documentation, timelines, and within budget.
  • Spearhead and identify internal projects, processes, and/or initiatives for digitalisation and improvement of process flow.
  • Develop and implement IT Security strategy, policies, programs, and procedures including driving the implementation and maintenance across headquarter office and various operations location.
  • Identify possible IT risks, keep abreast of the dynamic threat landscape, and propose strategic solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Establish, implement, and review IT policies, IT asset (hard and software) lifecycle policies, and standard and processes relating to the use, preservation, and recovery of information assets to ensure proper usage, compliance, and security.
  • Understand IT trends and provide recommendations to senior management to enhance protection, storage, and use of information for optimal organisational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • IT assets and inventories management.
  • Manage the service level agreements to ensure timely response to user requests/queries.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all IT infrastructure setups, software licenses, and any software modifications.
  • Select, manage, and negotiate with external vendors in the provision of IT solutions, and partner them to review and ensure that the Group’s infrastructure is at optimum usage, performance, and cost.
  • Monitor performance of IT systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving IT infrastructure and services.
  • Provide input, advice, and direction on implementation of the Group's or Business Units specific projects from an IT perspective.
  • Design and conduct IT user training on systems under the IT Department's purview.
  • Communicate need to improve and innovate to enhance the customer experience and ensure business excellence and sustainability.
  • Understand reasons for and manage resistance to change, including identifying appropriate tools, resources, and interventions to support the process.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5-years of information technology or related experience including at least 3-years of project management.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in information systems, or Computer Science.
  • ITIL Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity in best practices in data centre management, governance, and network security.
  • Familiarity with modern digitalisation of business processes through the adoption of cloud, analytics, and mobile technologies.
  • Working experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, UNIX, Router, and Network Switches.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with self-assurance and confidence.
  • Strong understanding of business processes.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Ability to strive in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
