Job Description Summary
• The function is responsible for all operational/plant controlling processes and structures of the supervised sites/plants, as well as selected controlling processes at regional level. It ensures that these are implemented and continuously enhanced in accordance with existing guiding principles and local laws.
• The function is a sparring partner of production management, ensures that commercial need of action or existing opportunities for improvement of (cost)performance are identified at an early stage and recommends necessary measures proactively.
• It acts as functional lead in terms of operational/plant controlling for further partner-plants in the region, ensures continues improvement of reliability and comparability of standard product costing and production cost planning and drives standardization and harmonization of global topics in the region.
• The function is closely connected to local finance/controlling competencies and Business Line Controlling and participates in a comprehensive cross-organizational collaboration to drive further improvement within the FACT community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consulting and support the management of the assigned site/plant in steering and analysis of the production activities from an economic/commercial perspective.
- Providing functional guidance for further plants/sites in the region based on guiding principles.
- Monitoring of (fixed)cost spending, plant utilization and respective cost center variances.
- Forecasting and budgeting of production costs and calculation of activity rates.
- Responsible for standard costing and calculation of new products at the site/plant.
- Monitoring of production orders, analysis of production variances, initiating of suitable measures (e. g. initiate actualization of recipes and BoMs).
- Supervise regional/global improvement tasks (e. g. harmonization/standardization of product costing, cost planning and calculation of activity prices).
- Initiating process improvements and tracking of related cost-saving measures.
- Support the local month end closing (settlement of A-PCTR, PO-settlement, etc.) and the valuation of inventories together with other finance departments.
REQUIREMENTS
- Successfully completed business or technical studies.
- Profound professional experience in business/operational controlling.
- Secure handling and mature navigation skills of SAP and MS-Office applications.
- Very good knowledge of English, written and spoken.
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills.
- Reliability, team spirit, confidentiality and loyalty.
