We are looking for Social Worker (Fostering Services) for our Social Service Agency (SSA). The role requires to effectively manage cases receiving foster care services and to support programmes and events of the Fostering Department.
Job Responsibilities
1. Manage cases receiving foster care services and support programmes or events of Fostering Department and the agency
2. Conduct in-depth assessment and prepare Foster Parent Assessment Report (FAR), and present findings at the CIC Approving Panel and follow up on decisions and recommendations
3. Conduct regular CANs assessments to assess how the foster child is doing as well as the foster parents capability in meeting the needs of the child
4. Conduct necessary statutory visits to ensure that the placement is able to safeguard and promote safety, stability and wellbeing
5. Organize and participate in inter-agency efforts to support the welfare and development of the foster child or CYP
6. Provide a 24-hour hotline for foster parents or kinship care per duty schedule and follow up on outcomes
7. Support foster placement to prevent breakdowns in existing care arrangements for the foster child
8. Participate actively in case management
9. Identify at-risk situations and develop strategies and intervention plan to address child safety issues and wellbeing
10. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of case management and other programme and activities extended to foster or kinship care families
11. Submit accurate operation reports, case reviews, discussions to Agency and other governing bodies
Requirements
· Bachelor of Social Work or Graduate Diploma in Social Work or Master of Social Work
· Registered Social Worker with SASW preferred
· Experience in working with children or CYP and their families

Sun Ray is a centralised scheme administered by NCSS to develop individuals who have strong leadership qualities to lead professional practices and agencies in the social service sector.
To enable a holistic development. there will be structured rotation across social service agencies in different sub-sectors to provide individuals with cross-organisational exposure and support. The exposure will enable those on the Sun Ray to develop broader sector perspectives and gain deep sector knowledge to help the social service agencies that they are deployed to build capabilities and capacity.
We are looking for individuals with strong motivation and leadership capabilities to lead agencies or professional practices to achieve social impact in the social service sector.
