Job Description
The candidate should help to develop atomic systems to generate complex entangled states between very narrowband photons, or photons and atomic states for transfer of quantum information. For this position as an experimental physicist, setups for preparing atomic states, nonlinear optical processes in atoms, and single photon detection and correlation measurements will be adapted or set up. We expect the successful candidate to work in a team of graduate students experienced in this field, and also provide guidance to junior team members in a wide spectrum of science, data analysis, and lab technology.
Qualifications
- An expertise at advanced graduate student level in experimental AMO physics is essential;
- Familiar with Rubidium as an atomic system, expertise in general optics, as well as with single photon detection techniques, is highly desirable;
- The candidate should possess language skills to be able to actively participate in the preparation of scientific publications;
- The candidate should have recently graduated in a topic related to the job scope.
