We are working with a leading dry bulk shipowner who is hiring for a Post-Fixture/Laytime Manager to join their team!
Job scope:
- Facilitate negotiations during laytime disputes.
- Manage laytime calculations for accuracy and efficiency.
- Generate and send hire or freight invoices to charterers, ensuring timely payment follow-ups.
- Collaborate with clients to resolve post-fixture issues through effective communication.
- Monitor vessel schedules pre-arrival and post-discharge at ports.
- Execute processing and invoicing of hire payments, including bunker calculations and deductions.
- Produce reports detailing post-fixture activities.
- Identify and suggest workflow enhancements to optimize efficiency.
- Administer relevant delivery and re-delivery notices for vessels.
Requirements
- More than two years of experience in post-fixture and laytime calculations
- Understanding of basic shipping terminology
- Knowledge of post fixture handling (i.e. freights collections/claims, disbursements and bunkers acquisitions)
- An excellent command of written and spoken English
- Experience with dry bulk carriers is advantageous
