Job Responsibilities:
1. Take measurements, draw up plans for proposed works, and source materials, prepare estimates, and undertake shop/site visits.
2. Operate various hand tools, power tools, and equipment used to complete carpentry duties, including a circular saw, table saw, router, pneumatic nail gun, ramset, drills, and other tools used for measuring, cutting, fastening, and drilling.
3. Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting daily inspections, lubricating, and cleaning.
4. Complete and submit daily paperwork reporting time, be equipped with appropriate PPE at all times ensure any crew members are also equipped with proper PPE.
5. Comply with all company policies and regulations & work under HSSE laws and regulations.
6. Instal wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, studs, refinishing, and retouching works.
7. Design and install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, insulation, saddles, covers, and packaging.
8. Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.
9. Select lumber by size and strength to suit each job and source wood for the customer’s needs, budget, and style.
10. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other job professionals.
11. Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects, and building code recommendations.
