(I) ICT Infrastructure Project Delivery
Provide ICT technical support for the project delivery which includes but not limited to the following:
- Project coordination work between the various stakeholders such as Business Unit Representatives, Appointed Vendors and ICT teams.
- System installation, configuration, testing and commissioning work to facilitate the smooth rollout and cutover of projects for both non-live and live environments.
(II) ICT Infrastructure System Administration
Provide ICT technical support for the system administration of about 40 - 50 (with a +/- 10% deviation) ICT systems which includes but not limited to the following:
- Provide 24x7 operation support for both unplanned system outages and planned system implementations arising from system changes, patch updates and security vulnerabilities fixes
- Review, prepare and execute planned system implementation requests in both non-Live and Live environments.
- Support planned system maintenance downtimes such as Disaster Recovery Exercises and other system maintenances.
- Perform system health checks periodically and reporting on a quarterly basis.
- Provide relevant technical documentation on System Setup, Standard Operation Procedures, Disaster Recovery Procedures and System Troubleshooting Guides.
BIOS Support on Azure Cloud systems
- Assist to build, design, deploy and maintain the implementation of cloud solutions on Azure infrastructure for about 10 – 15 (with a +/- 10% deviation) ICT systems.
- Identify and use the appropriate cloud services to support applications on the cloud
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, testing specialists to modernize on-premises applications to our cloud infrastructure
- Maintain the data and infrastructure integrity of existing cloud services (PaaS/IaaS) such as VM/DB security and lifecycle management
- Provision and maintain proper access control measures for new and existing cloud services
- Manage cloud environment in accordance with company’s security guidelines
- Employ a ‘problem-prevention’ mindset towards troubleshooting technical operational issues relating to the cloud infrastructure
- Deploy & debug cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Participate in the design, implementation and management of cloud workload and automation initiatives
- Address performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization as required
- Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the organization keep abreast with current technology trends
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or IT related discipline
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate certification
- Possess at least 3 years of relevant Server Administration experience on both Windows server and Linux, with at least 1 year of experience in Cloud Server Administration on AWS and/or Azure preferred.
- Possess Strong knowledge of ICT systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Possess experience in scripting (e.g. Unix/Linux Shell, Windows PowerShell)
- Possess experience in project management and able to provide good support to Project Managers
- Provide 24x7 operation support or system implementations arising from system changes, patch updates and security vulnerabilities fixes.
- Ability to work independently and at the same time be a cooperative and good team player as and when the circumstances require.
- Possess proficient technical and soft skills such as problem-solving, communication and business writing.
