SFC also manages Design Orchard Retail Showcase (DORS) and The Cocoon Space (TCS):

DORS, the retail showcase located at level one of Design Orchard and situated in the centre of Orchard Road, provides a physical retail space for new and emerging designers, at the renowned shopping belt of Singapore. It has the largest collection of locally based designer brands in Singapore.

Are you seeking an opportunity to contribute to the growth of Fashion Industry while supporting a sustainable and future-ready talent ecosystem in Singapore?


We are looking for a talent to join our Industry Development team to work with key partners and drive the growth and pipeline of talents for Singapore.


To succeed in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, and able to identify and build rapport with key partners. We also expect you to be a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills. Experience in continuing education and training, or syllabus development would be a bonus.


Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Industry Development in the development and implementation of industry capability development framework, policies, programmes and work-plan;
  • Work with partners to ensure programme content relevancy, and to capture opportunities with end-to-end solutions for industry workforce transformation, training as well as job-matching or career advisory services
  • Liaise and collaborate with all key partners and stakeholders such as government bodies, educational institutions, and contracted personnel on industry workforce transformation initiatives and programmes
  • Work with marketing team in the development of marketing plans, content and actions related to programmes.
  • Connect employers to programmes such as government schemes to support their talent initiatives;
  • Organise and participate in events (physical/online/hybrid) to build community and boost brand awareness, such as career fairs, seminars, conferences and networking events.
  • Run the day-to-day operations, including but not limited to:

o Pre/post surveys to collect statistics and feedback on programmes

o Manage funding processes, timelines, deliverables and regulation

o Onboard/review/audit partners and system

o Update and maintain proper and accurate records and documentations for submission and programme reporting

  • Keep abreast of industry developments and market skills gaps to ensure continued relevancy of capability development programme.
  • Assist in landscape research to develop effective solutions for job-skills transformation that help the industry workforce be equipped with the necessary skillsets to meet evolving business needs

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in the education and/or adult learning sectors, OR
  • Experience in curriculum planning, design and implementation
  • Experience in research and project management would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skill in both written and verbal
  • Self-starter, agile with adaptable mindset and strong analytical skill
  • Strong administrative and project management skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal, partnership management and negotiation skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meticulous with an eye for details
