The Technical Superintendent holds the responsibility for overseeing the technical operations of the designated oil tankers.
Reports to: Vessel Manager / Technical Manager
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the ships meet the necessary technical standards and performance benchmarks.
- Keep the vessels’ certificates and documents up to date and maintain a systematic record.
- Efficiently implement the company’s planned maintenance system.
- Coordinate, organize, and supervise class, statutory, and other vessel surveys.
- Manage and oversee dry-dockings and other essential repair and maintenance tasks.
- Evaluate and enhance the performance of the vessel crews.
- Prepare and oversee the technical budget for the vessels.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience on tanker ships as a Chief Engineer or Second Engineer (minimum COC Class 1 or 2), or at least 2 years of experience in a technical superintendent role for oil tankers.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
- Outstanding skills in leadership, teamwork, management, and communication.
- Proficient in communication.
