Responsibilities
- Support and handle full set of purchasing process, mainly to plan purchase of materials.
- Use monthly production plan, understand MRP and to ensure timely arrival of materials
- Establish a sustainable process with suppliers with an aim to avoid material shortages
- Constant alignment with Planners on demand fluctuations and push/pull materials accordingly
- Generate and drive cost down initiatives
- Work with NPI Team to phase in/phase out parts
- Full responsibility on inventory management
- Manage all communication with suppliers on cost, quality and delivery related issues
- Manage and maintain Data Hygiene in the SAP environment
Skills
- Knowledge with BOM/ERP/SAP
- Able to read technical drawing in PDF format
- Able to comprehend basic manufacturing process,
- Able to work independently
- Analytical and take initiatives
- Strong negotiation skills
- Able to drive and work with different stake-holders
- Hands-on and results-driven
Profile
- Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing direct materials
- Able to read and write in English and Chinese to liaise with chinese speaking vendors
- Travel only when required
