Job Summary
The M&E QA/QC Engineer will assist QA/QC Manager in the M&E and piping works for Integrated Waste Management Facility project. He / She should have a proven track record with excellent communication skills and possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural and piping systems installation, as well as substantial hands-on project quality documentation and turnover experience in the construction sector.
(l) Job Description
- Conduct site Audit on the sub-contractor/vendor.
- Ensure that adequate equipment and facilities are provided for verification of product quality.
- Ensure that all controlled documents are administered effectively.
- Quality control of sub-contractors.
- Daily coordination of all site work activities on Piping, Equipment installation.
- Liaising with Client inspector/Authorized inspector to ensure project requirement is fully achieved through out the project.
- Coordinate with sub-contractor/vendor to resolve quality issues and follow up for corrective actions.
- Carry out verification of purchased products in vendor's premises as specified in contracts.
- Monitor and control quality of purchased products.
- Ensure identification and traceability of incoming, in-process finished products.
- Stipulate and control adequate criteria for workmanship.
- Monitor and control quality of special process performed.
- Ensure that all inspection, test and identifications are carried out according to quality plan or documented procedures.
- Ensure that all inspection and test equipment are properly calibrated and controlled.
- Ensure that all nonconforming materials and products are adequately controlled.
- Investigate the cause of the nonconforming products and the corrective action needed to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure that all quality reports and customers' complaints are analyzed with adequate corrective actions taken.
- Ensure that quality records are properly stored and maintained.
- Define quality requirement for service and installation of products.
- Maintain adequate statistical techniques to control product and process quality.
- Compile Manufacturing Data Report (MDR).
(ll) Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
Experience
- 5 years QAQC experiences in EPC projects.
- Knowledge in Inspection of Pressure Vessel, Piping, FRP tanks, Rotating equipment such as pumps, fans, agitators, etc.
- Knowledge in Non-Destructive Test such as RT, UT, PT, MT and able to interpret test results.
- Able to read, understand and interpret technical requirements, quality procedures, drawings, P&ID.
- Detail-oriented and have strong communication skills and able to work with people from all levels.
- Experiences in wastewater, desalination, water utility, incineration, power plant packages are preferred.
- Comfortable working within a fast-changing environment, ability to multi-task and cope with ambiguity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal ability, coupled with influencing skills.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills (English and preferably Mandarin)
- Independent and a self-starter, with strong personal drive to initiate and implement.
- Good knowledge of documentation procedures.
- Hands on experience with pressure vessel, PED & MOM requirements, EN standards.
Skills & knowledge
- Profound knowledge of M&E and piping systems and technologies.
- Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and Power Point.
