Synopsys is looking for a field application engineer (FAE) specializing in Smart Manufacturing to cover the South East Asia region but not limited to those. The role of a FAE is to drive cases throughout the entire support lifecycle from initial customer inquiry to triage and reproduction, writing bug reports for hand-off to the development team, and case resolution. Secondly to effectively deploy and integrate solutions tailored to the customer’s specification.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership as a senior engineer to drive team members, including establishing priority levels and sometimes negotiating and setting solutions with customers.
- Resolve technical customer issues while working closely with other cross-functional teams and provide engineering feedback to improve product quality and reliability to stakeholders at key customers.
- Maintain software product performance and report to customers.
- Report content relative to troubleshooting processes, technical findings, provide service and postmortem reports.
- Feedback on problems and propose technical solutions jointly with R&D.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in the high-tech industry such as Semi or FPD (Flat Panel Display).
- At least 8 years of experience working with mission critical solutions to ensure its uptime and functionality.
- Experienced in application developer e.g. ASP.NET, C# & VB.NET, CSS & HTML
- Proficent in SQL and relational database management systems like, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Teradata.
- Experienced in project management
- Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical end users including customers.
- Excellent IT knowledge pertaining to databases, data processing and scripting.
- Excellent communication in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced with distributed systems.
- Experienced with data analytics and reporting systems.
