IEA Assistant Manager, eCommerce Retail Marketing & Digital Merchandising

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive market alignment and executional excellence on key regional ecommerce campaigns and platform events with learnings communicated and incorporated into future strategy and optimization of each channel.
  • Contribute to commercial growth, customer acquisition, and brand awareness with primary focus on retail platform onsite solutions, eg. Lazada, Shopee, Tokopedia and paid advertising (PPC, SEO, Programmatic Advertising, Affiliates and Social).
  • Analyze results weekly, monthly, and annually, following up and taking actions according to the business needs to drive each channel's performance.
  • Work closely with partners to prepare, review and implement digital plans to paid placements, commission structure, copies and headline development, etc. spearheading the return on investment of all these channels and the relationship with the partners as well as internal partners
  • Support development of merchandising strategy, assortment and catalog selection, digital shelf improvement, and all other digital merchandising activities for B2B eCommerce partners across Emerging Asia including but not limited to Lazada and Shopee.
  • Lead set-up and optimization for Product Detail Page (title, text, image), and monitor digital shelf quality through auditing and health reporting.
  • Site Navigation Auditing – partner with local ecommerce partners and service providers to refresh SKUs and monitor assortment for shelf excellence.
  • Demonstrate proactive and forward-looking behaviors and deliver solutions for key seasons and launches.
  • Consistently seek greater understanding of our customers’ marketing priorities, capabilities, and test and learn agenda to establish LEGO brand as a clear leader in shopper activation.
  • Be a partner to internal and external partners- ensure direction, needs, and feedback flow seamlessly and feed ongoing improvements for the benefit of the brand

The E-Commerce and APAC Regional Marketing teams are dedicated to leading our brand marketing and e-commerce growth and innovation across the region! This role is part of the India, Emerging Asia business unit (IEA BU). As a member, you will directly contribute to developing and driving growth strategies pivotal to our commercial delivery in partner ecommerce. Our future growth plans are highly related to our ability to elevate our e-commerce capabilities and execution with the largest marketplace platforms in the region. You’ll join a dynamic team, eager to learn, grow and build strong relations with our markets.


Partnering with APAC E-Commerce Centre of Excellence (ECOE) Team and IEA Senior E-Commerce manager, this role will be responsible for developing the digital marketing and merchandising strategy for LEGO brand across Emerging Asia markets. You will work closely with local distributor partners to achieve campaign goals through optimizing social marketing, search marketing, email marketing, affiliate marketing, SEOs, and other digital platforms. Other cross-functional collaborations include working alongside E-Commerce and external teams for daily operations and site maintenance, and APAC ECOE Teams to oversee the creation of both commercial and inspirational digital assets that aim to raise the brand awareness and increase customer acquisition.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Strong proficiency in Google Analytics, Social Advertising, Google Ads Manager, and Microsoft Office suite and experience with agency partners, media buying, website analytics, search optimization, and affiliate marketing
  • Analytical approach to interpret data and experience with making data-driven decisions
  • Proven shopper marketing and/or project management experience, including developing effective promotional calendars, activating sales programs, and measuring results;
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills to present and communicate critical information and programs to collaborators within the LEGO Group and with eCommerce partners
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while managing many projects at once
  • Proactive keen learner and teammate with a sense of responsibility, proactive with a positive attitude
  • Able to multi-task with excellent organizational skills and meticulous in work assigned
  • Experience in digital merchandising within Ecommerce strongly preferred
  • A Digital enthusiast with a good knowledge of the digital landscape and ecosystem for Emerging Asia markets – Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam
  • Has an eye for creative, attention to details. Familiar with photoshop (or similar app) is a strong plus
