Key Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot automation related issues in manufacturing operations. Participate or lead quality or safety investigations and implement any automation solutions resultant from these investigations.
· Participate as automation representative in day to day operations involving facilities, utilities and equipment.
· Provide training to end users on process control system
· Perform system level Preventive Maintenance. Identify and address issues at recipe level as well as interfaces with other systems.
· Perform preventive maintenance activities on Process Control System in conjunction with vendors
· Identify and address fundamental software issues across the Process Control System through knowledge management system
· Identify and address complex system level / architecture level issues and get these accepted by global sites
· Actively attain knowledge of process unit operations.
· Team player with proven performance records, creative thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Education
· Degree in Chemical / Electrical / Instrumentation and Control Engineering
· Experience
· 6 to 10 years of experience in Process Automation, preferably in a batch manufacturing environment; Extensive knowledge and experience in process automation system, preferably in Emerson DeltaV
