JOB ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising general or project transport operations and activities including planning and scheduling manpower and transportation resources and executing of transportation operations. He/she is also responsible for preparing and documenting transportation operations reports.
Systematic and logical, he is required to supervise warehouse operations, transport operations and execute operations. He is also expected to work longer hours, and maintain communications with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers and others involved in the shipping and delivery of merchandise to accomplish his work.
JOB ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Logistics Management, Professional Diploma or its equivalent
Licenses or Credentials:
- Have a Class 3 driving license
- Experience:
- With 2 years of logistics experience
Training:
- Possess forklift certification and able to train others on forklift operations
Core skills:
- Understanding planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems
- Managing daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveries
- Tracking the progress of logistics operations
- Knowing all aspects of warehouse operations and transport operations
- Reviewing inventory needs and keeping adequate stock
- Planning and scheduling manpower for day-to-day operations
- Manage WSH activities to ensure team compliance with requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel and PowerPoint
