Overall Job Purpose
Carry out all necessary review, oversight and advise with regards to Non-destructive Testing of materials and welding to Company in all projects as needed.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist and support the project teams on all NDT matters.
- Prepare NDT procedures for assigned project.
- Review Vendor/ subcontractor NDT procedures, processes and documentation in order to determine that applicable NDT requirements are satisfied.
- Review vendor/subcontractor NDT personnel certifications
- Implement NDT personnel verification program and NDT surveillance program in projects when required.
- Coordinate failure analyses and root cause analysis on NDT related issues.
- Review clients’ specifications and scopes of work examine pipe metallurgy and prepare/review detailed NDT procedures to achieve maximum productivity in accordance with specified quality.
- Review subcontractors’ documents and technical qualifications.
- Assist in subcontractor assessments/audits.
- Review and approve subcontractors' NDT procedures.
- Ensure that records are maintained for all NDT activities to demonstrate achievement of client requirements.
- Implement NDT personnel verification program and NDT surveillance program in projects when required.
Work Relationships
- Interact with other engineering department/vendors / subcontractors as required.
- Participates as a team member & communicates information to appropriate parties at the appropriate time.
- Understands interface issues and actively manages them.
- Works with client representatives when required.
- Makes presentations when required.
- Develop relationships with client technical or service personnel.
- Encourages positive feedback from all directions.
- Receptive to critical comments, actively seeks out diverse perspectives.

Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or any relevant Engineering discipline
- ASNT Level III certification or equivalent in all commonly used methods
- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas area or FPSO line(s) or equivalent
- Working knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, classification
- Relevant working experience in oil and gas sector in a similar position.
- Must be willing to be based in China
