We have a rewarding opportunity for you as a Staff Nurse specializing in Hospice Care and Home Care. In this role, you will provide essential nursing care, emotional support, and comfort to patients in their homes and within hospice settings. You'll play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life for individuals with life-limiting illnesses, while maintaining the utmost respect for their dignity and autonomy.
Location: Simei (The candidate should be prepared to commute to Simei daily for their reporting responsibilities and to travel within the East area for Home Care visits. The client will provide reimbursement for transportation expenses.)
Working schedule: Mondays to Fridays, 8:30am - 5:30pm
Benefits: Allowance and Annual Wage Supplement (AWS)
Roles and Responsibilites:
As a Staff Nurse for Hospice Care and Home Care, you will be a vital member of our healthcare team, offering skilled and compassionate nursing care to patients in the comfort of their own homes or within a hospice care facility. This role combines your clinical expertise with your ability to provide emotional support and create a safe and nurturing environment.
- Initiate care plans, adjust medications, and collaborate with medical professionals for symptom control.
- Educate caregivers on nursing procedures and facilitate referrals to hospice or specialized services.
- Identify and support patients and families in need of financial assistance and counseling.
- Offer emotional and bereavement support to families during challenging times.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a minimum Diploma in Nursing or equivalent, Nursing Cert in Palliative Care
- Registration with the Singapore Nursing Board is required
- A minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience across diverse healthcare environments
- Preferably possess a post-graduate or advanced diploma
- Hold a valid certification in BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
- Have received the Covid-19 vaccination
