Job Scope:
- Applying asset tagging and maintaining a meticulous inventory stock check.
- Issuing assets to staff and overseeing their retrieval as required.
- Coordinating the reformatting of assets by the IT department.
- Managing faulty assets, initiating the necessary actions, and logging calls with vendors to arrange for repairs.
- Deployment and imaging of laptops, ensuring proper configuration and software application installations.
- Overseeing the decommissioning of laptops, including the removal of hard disks and executing data wiping procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in asset management, preferably with a focus on laptops and IT equipment.
- Proficiency in using asset tracking systems and related software tools.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in asset documentation and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with staff for asset-related matters.
- Knowledge of data security and asset disposal protocols in line with industry standards.
- Familiarity with hardware configurations, software installations, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and procedures within the IT asset management domain.
- Flexibility to handle diverse tasks within the broader Asset Management realm.
