Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the HSE Manager in day to day Marine / HSE functions.
- Act as Back up of Purchase Executive by managing Purchase function for 1 vessel in the Fleet.
- Monitor PSC inspection and deficiency and correspond with relevant parties to ensure compliance with international rules and commercially operational.
- Consolidate PSC / FSI / Right Ship deficiencies of the fleet managed by the company.
- Assist in daily operation and running of fleet vessels and responsible for cost effective, safe and efficient operations of the ships.
- Assist in upkeep of documentation and in special cases ensure establishment of comprehensive files for future records.
- Assist and ensure correct accounting of all expenses and monitor operating budget related to HSE.
- Register, monitor and ensure all corrective & preventive actions are addressed and implemented.
- Overall in charge of all HSSEQ issues and matter onboard.
- Develop, implement and maintain Safety Management System (SMS) of the company.
- Work with Master/Manning agencies to brief crew on HSSEQ policies, documentation and procedures.
- Oversee and manage ship compliance to regulatory requirements and legislation (such as IMO, Flag State and Port State rules and regulations).
- Assist in daily operations of the Crewing Department as a backup.
- Assist / Carry out other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- University Graduate.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word.
- Possess clear communication skills, good analytical ability, with a consistent focus on quality.
- Prior experience in HSE role will be an added advantage
