Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing world-class Supply Chain strategies that provide Venture and our customers with a strategic market advantage, as well as aligned with established company policies, and material/procurement strategies.
This includes working with internal teams in planning and implementing activities related to materials sourcing, commodity strategy, price competitiveness, continuity of supply, and risk management.
Responsibilities :
- Drive, coordinate, and develop sourcing/pricing strategies via material cost competitiveness through interfacing with the various internal teams and customers under limited supervision. Internal teams including sourcing (Commodity), purchasing, and cross-functional teams (i.e. Program Management, Quality, R&D, Engineering, etc.).
- Develop and lead the implementation of flexibility and supply assurance plans, including AOS, alternative proposals, risk buy, best practices, etc.
- Improve the cost position by ensuring the initial buy is cost-competitive and initiating cost reduction-saving opportunities.
- Working in conjunction to make recommendations and/or take appropriate actions to actively impact and augment current sourcing strategies and cost structures.
- Identify opportunities to increase turnkey business through localization and influence customers to use Preferred Suppliers.
- Support project & product cost with quality deliverables for Mass Production / New programs, NPI / Proto / Design, and R&D builds.
- Track material's financial performance (purchase price variance) and initiate corrective action plans & actions.
- Acts as a customer advocate to drive prioritization of projects and responses to problems/issues support account planning, supply chain issue escalation, strategy development, and sales.
- Communicate frequently with key customers to help ensure satisfaction with the company and the products.
- Present supply chain-related topics to customers and liaise with customers on material pricing-related issues.
- Measure and report on project status both internally and to the customer. Preparing reports on areas of responsibility and ensuring proper tracking and adherence to supply chain guidelines.
- Solicits performance feedback and communicates information to internal teams and departments.
- Ensure business controls are in place to comply with the company’s requirements and processes are in compliance with ISO and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead in any other initiatives as given by the supervisor.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and/or any relevant principle.
- Minimum 3 years of related industry experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement (OEM / Contract Manufacturer EMS).
- Experience in Project Management in the Manufacturing industry would be an advantage.
- Ability to perform data & pricing analysis, make recommendations, and construct viable solutions.
- Experience in managing significant spend coverage and low volume high mix & pull manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience in SAP system is a plus.
- Self-driven team player with good communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills that are able to resolve issues involving plant and/or customer/supplier inquiries and feedback.
- Familiar with supply chain and material flow concepts.
