Responsibilities:

  • Resolve complex issues with clients & consultants, JV Partner, and/or sub-contractors which is not able to be handled by subordinates.
  • Direct project team members to achieve targets of safety, quality, profit and timely completion of the project. To monitor the progress of the project according to the targets set.
  • Identify key staff to lead the project and delegate responsibilities. Provide guidance and direction to staff for them to work towards the targets set.
  • Monitor the site progress and lead the construction team to ensure proper implementation on site in compliance with project schedule, quality standards, codes and local regulations.
  • Coordinator with Subcontracts/Suppliers to ensure that the site activities are executed in accordance with specifications budget and time schedules.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 25 years of working experience in construction of building or civil projects.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the projects which have Marine Facilities.
  • Minimum working experience of projects stated below as a M&E managerial staff of a main contractor.
  1. That has more than S$500 Million main contract value.
  2. That has infrastructural rain water drainage system including pump station system, such as PUB or Port facilities.
  3. That has infrastructural 22kV power distribution system with Substation system, such as LTA, SPPG or Port Facilities.
  • Experiences in JV projects which consist of foreign companies (e.g. Japanese, Korean, European construction companies)
  • Ability to understand all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to budgeting, and scheduling in order to fully understand project implications.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to successfully communicate with client, management and to the team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
  • Proactive when solving issues and focused on strategic goals of the project.
  • Capacity to handle pressure
