Seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Accounts Assistant.
Incumbent will handle Accounts Payable with opportunities to develop into other areas of Accounting. Keen to learn with the right attitude, the position is also open to persons who studied Accounting with minimal experience.
Reporting To:
Finance & Admin Manager and/or any persons directed by Management
Responsibilities:
- Compile & issue payment for weekly ad-hoc payment
- Compile & issue payment for reimbursements, creditors, subcontractors and payroll by cut-of dates
- Compile & issue settlements for LC/TR on due dates
- Safe keeping of petty cash & Issuance of petty cash payment
- Prepare, review & posting into ERP system
- Daily update of incoming and outgoing funds in OCI from various platforms
- Daily Cash Balance report
- Monthly reconciliation to bank statements
- Upkeeping of respective files for transaction listed above
- Vendor giro & other giro payment registration
- Check for completeness of documents (Invoice, DO, PO etc)
- Coordinate approval for payment as needed
- Liaising with auditors and managing the process (eg. Audit queries, supporting schedules, etc)
- Finance & administrative function as required and assigned
Requirements:
- ITE/LCCI/Diploma in Accounting/Business Management
- Good command of spoken & written English
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Responsible and with good sense of task prioritization
- Management of large volumes of incoming payment from customers
- Able to juggle a range of tasks as well as working ad-hoc projects that arise from time to time
- Work knowledge of Quickbooks, MYOB & ERP software is an advantage
