Sr. Verification and Validation Engineer

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To define and conduct tests internally and/or with customers, in order to confirm the system’s fitness for purpose in accordance with defined requirements and objectives. This position’s primary focus will be to support global TopSky HE systems and customers.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Verification & Validation Engineer is responsible for:

· Verifying the impact of System Engineering Change Requests (ECR's) and defining and submitting on-time and on-budget, test procedures and associated scenarios to the System Engineering Manager or Project Managers, in order to verify and validate the system (off-line, simulator and on-line) in the context of Project and or Bids

· Performance testing and functional verification during partial integration [Integrated Block Builds [IBB] testing]

· Carrying out validation tests, in coordination with customer representatives, during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) at the program’s relevant site

· Tracking and validating the Problem Change Report (PCR) corrective actions, in coordination with various engineering disciplines and teams.

· Capturing test results and providing/managing PCR updates in the appropriate databases and applications

· Providing detail reporting of test results and briefing the Management Team (PM + Engineering) and external Customer

· Supporting the Project Manager/Project Team in the delivery of Customer solutions via the on-time, on-budget performance of V&V activities

· Leveraging operational ATM knowledge and experience to adjudicate impact of changes, upgrades and enhancements throughout the product lifecycle

· Liaising directly with Customers regarding requirements, issues, corrective actions, planning, schedule and scope including leading Change Control Boards (CCB)

· Providing guidance and training (technical/operational) and serving as a mentor for new and/or junior engineers to expedite efficiency

· Serving as the focal point in a collaborative team environment

In coordination with the Discipline Manager and Solution Engineering Manager:

· Prepare scope and workload estimates of Verification and Validation activities

· Support the personnel engaged in the overall validation of systems, during all phases of the solution delivery/deployment with a focus on Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT)

· Ability to deliver high-quality V&V output, on-time and on-budget during aggressive program schedules and for technically challenging solutions

· Ability to thrive in a global environment, working seamlessly with international colleagues

· Ability to analyse Customers requirements and translate into actions

· Provide leadership and direction to a growing branch and contribute to the creation of a regional ATM Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Singapore


KEY COMMUNICATION

Candidate must effectively communicate with colleagues throughout the business line, to include senior management and personnel in non-technical roles.

Key Communications are with:

1. Solution Engineering Manager, Program Manager

· Written and verbal reporting of progress to date [status, issues, technical risks, gaps, etc.]

2. Discipline Manager

· Workload updates [current, forecast], career development, training

3. Internal and External Customers

· Written and verbal presentations with internal or external Customers

· Interface directly with Customers via Change Control Boards
