Manager, Coal Section, Metals & Mineral Dept.

Job Description

  • Manage the overall operational budgetary and financial activities of the coal account, in charge.
  • Plan and implement systems that perform the work and fulfill the mission and the goals of the account.
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the account.
  • Review performance data to monitor performance of the account.
  • Communicate regularly with Coal Section Manager and GM of Metals & Minerals Department of ITOCHU SIngapore Pte Ltd, /managers of ITOCHU headquater in Japan and other managers to seek for necessary approvals.

Job Requirements:

  • Building up clear, consistent and sustainable strategies in the coal account business segment.
  • Excellent communication skills including proven ability to effectively convey information and ideas clearly in both written and verbal means to Management, Department staffs, Clients and Vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain good relationship with Management, Superior, Subordinates and local/overseas counterparts.
  • Challenging, open minded, sensitive and able to work in multicultural environment.
  • Problem-solving and analytics skills with demonstrated ability to identify and define problems, extract key information from clients/vendors, verify cause of problem and develop feasible solutions to resolve problems identified.
  • Capability of coaching and motivating Section staffs for better performance and contributions.
  • Excellent ability to converse in business Japanese language to liaise with Japanese counterparts in all region and Japan HQ.
  • N1 level of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test level is mandatory.
