Job Overview

The role presents an exciting opportunity for someone with strong strategic and technical human resource generalist experience to support our management teams to effectively manage their people, achieve change and business outcomes. People Partners are accountable for leading and executing improvement and change projects and improving people manager capability through high level advice, support and coaching.

This role will sit within our Global People Partnering team and will be a key role in assisting the business to develop and maintain positive relationships within a geographic location whilst collaborating with colleagues on practices within our 15 country locations across APAC, EMEA and USA.

In this role you will:

  • Partner with geographical stakeholder groups across the APAC region (which will include Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, China and Australia) to deliver subject matter expertise and tangible impact to your location area providing guidance and coaching to managers and support to employees, recommending appropriate actions to address people queries or problems.
  • Support the execution of key work streams and projects within the People Roadmap, autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Manage and co-ordinate successful resolutions to informal and formal employee relations cases including absence management, providing coaching and guidance to managers on best practice and legislative requirements.
  • Co-ordinate successful execution of operational needs in cases of global mobility.
  • Ensure we comply with our legal, regulatory and compliance obligations within areas such as right to work, SOC2, data protection and information security.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and partner with Strategic Business Partners, business leaders and centres of excellence to develop and deliver training to enhance practices within our location business groups.
  • Work with our Strategic HR Business Partners, centres of excellence and stakeholders to review, update and develop company policy.
  • Provide in-person onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Promote equality and diversity, ensuring business decisions and actions reflect this.
  • Be a true champion of consistent and human people practices, driving a positive effect on culture and business goals and being an advocate for a fair and open workplace environment.

You are a good fit if:

  • You have previous generalist people business partnering experience with experience of organisational design and employee relations within the APAC geographical region.
  • Have a practical, commercial, and operational understanding of employee relations, assisting, advising and training our managers on complex issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills – with experience of partnering and advising including senior leadership level.
  • Experience in managing, co-ordinating and tracking visa and immigration processes including management and operational execution of employment passes.
  • Proficient knowledge of relevant employment legislation and best practice including experience of supporting organisational change programmes.
  • Comfortable with a range of data, and able to translate data points into meaningful narratives to influence and have impact.
  • The ability to operate strategically and operationally.
  • Good business and commercial acumen with a strong organisational awareness and interest in understanding how the organisation operates.
  • Bachelor’s degree, Diploma in Business Administration or Human Resources or relevant experience.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (both spoken and written).
  • Previous experience of supporting SOC2 accreditation measures would be an advantage.
