Surbana Jurong seeks to hire a Process Engineer to support the Energy & Industrial Department. This role offers a challenging career prospect to those who have a strong interest in the Oil and Gas industry, detailed-oriented and consultancy work.
Responsibilities
- Undertake process design work as required which may include a combination of engineering, research and consultancy work.
- Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity of the designs
- Using the basis of design advised by the Lead Process Engineer, undertake detailed calculations to develop the design and be responsible for the accuracy of these calculations
- Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client's requirements
- Prepare process deliverables i.e. Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment specifications, Process Descriptions, P&IDs etc. for review and approval
- Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed
- Perform safety related calculations and provide input to HAZOP’s, SIL and other safety reviews as directed
- Contribute where necessary to review of other discipline deliverables (for comments) and reviews of the project 3D CAD model.
- Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with client engineers.
- Assist as required in the preparation of Operating Manuals.
- Perform research on materials and deliver reports or presentations on current development within the Oil and Gas Industry as required. This may require interaction with various parties i.e. Government agencies, existing market players, licensors, contractors, sub-contractors etc.
Requirements
- Min 3-years experienced in the Oil and Gas industry with a Chemical Engineering Degree.
- Fresh graduates with a recognised Degree may be considered.
- Experience in Engineering Contracting and Process Design within the oil and gas sector.
- Experience of working on FEED, EPC or PMC projects within the contracting industry
- Able to work both independently and in a team.
- Proactive and takes responsibility in resolving issues.
- Good communication skills and proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Occasional business travel may be necessary.
- Proficiency in MS Suites is a must but added software skills in process simulation software i.e. Aspen HYSIS will be advantageous.
