Job Purpose:
The Lead Technical Architect is responsible for the production and review of all Technical Issues and development tasks within the defined functional area(s). In some instances, the area of responsibility may include several functional business areas.
The Lead Technical Architect will be in charge of the management of all the teams involved in the technical specifications for all concurrent projects, and ensure that the whole design and implementation is coordinated and coherent. Where the volume of work requires several project teams to work in parallel, each sub team will have a number of Senior Analyst Programmers working on the technical aspects and subsequent developments which needs to be managed.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
· To be responsible for managing teams for Performance tuning, implementation and upgrade.
· To be responsible for the management and Maintenance of the technical specifications for all the GAPs, SARs within the functional area(s).
· In a parallel development context, to ensure that the whole technical design and implementation is coordinated and coherent for all concurrent projects.
· In conjunction with the Program Manager (and Project Managers in a parallel development context) and Lead Business Analyst, to plan and schedule all the technical specifications and developments (including maintenance items), split across several projects if required.
· To participate, on a technical / implementation point of view to the functional specifications produced within the functional area(s) and provide core Support and first level analysis.
· Detailed analysis of the problem and coding, testing of the change request/fix
· To write technical specifications when required by workload.
· To be aware of other developments with the Product Development Group and to liaise with other Lead Technical Architects as and when required by projects
· To propose the rewrite or re-engineering of complex and difficult to maintain modules
· To be responsible for the production and maintenance of all technical documentation by the team in the area of responsibility.
· Function as the bridge between Temenos and designated Clients and function as the Single Pont of Contact ( SPOC)
· Liaise with Clients and Account/Project Managers to
- Understand different milestones like UAT, Upgrade, go-Live etc.
- Provide constant updates over conference calls or through e-mail.
- Communicate about re-schedule in the delivery of fixes, if any.
· Ensure and Maintain High Satisfaction rating from clients
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational & Proficiency level: Degree in Computer Science or related IT discipline. Professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience in software technical consultancy in a banking environment.
Technical knowledge: INFOBASIC, JAVA, ORACLE 9 (or above) operating systems, knowledge and familiarity with the functionality of UNIX, AS400 and NT, particularly disc structures. Exposure to mainframes.
