About the role:

We are currently hiring for a 1-year contract position, with the potential for renewal and the possibility to convert to a permanent position.

Salary Range: $4,200 to $5,200 (Depending on experience)

In addition to the salary, this position offers various benefits, including:

Working hours: 8.30am to 6.00pm (Monday to Thursday), 8.30am to 5.30pm (Friday)


As an Manager (Activation & Engagement Lead) of the Marketing and Outreach Team for the Institute for Human Resource Professionals Limited (IHRP), your role will involve driving key strategic goals of IHRP which involves:

  • Project Lead for IHRP Annual Flagship Event – People Behind People.
  • Acquisition of Certification and Corporate Partners leads at IHRP or partners’ events.
  • Activation and engagement of certified HR Professional Community and Corporate Partners
  • Planning and execution of Product Launches, MOU Ceremonies and eco-system partners announcements and other events.
  • Relationship building with Tripartite and eco-system Partners to drive IHRP key messages and on-ground leads acquisition efforts.

As part of the Marketing and Outreach Team, you will be coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute activation and engagement strategies that attracts, grow, engage and build loyalty and goodwill with our certified professionals and corporate partners. Here are the key responsibilities associated with this role:

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective activation and engagement strategy that aligns with IHRP goals, key messages, product launches, and announcements. Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify target audiences, trends and adapt fast to optimise leads acquisition and engagement.
  • Events Management: Oversee the planning and execution of all activation and engagement events, particularly key flagship events from ideation through execution. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align marketing efforts with event objectives. Ensure all events achieve their intended objectives and are executed timely, within budget, achieve KPIs and with no audit lapses.
  • Partners, Sponsors & Influencers Management: Source, engage and manage partners, sponsors and professional influencers to execute events professionally, amplify outreach efforts and maximise cost recovery.
  • Database Management: Maintain and manage member database effectively and efficiently. Implement strategies to grow certified community, corporate partners and improve certification renewals. Utilise email marketing platforms and customer relationship management (CRM) systems to execute targeted and personalised engagement initiatives.
  • Customer Engagement: Foster customer engagement through the design and implementation of innovative initiatives, which could be both digital and physical.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of marketing activation initiatives against specified objectives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Budget Management: Manage the marketing activation budget, ensuring spend is tracked and optimised for maximum ROI.
  • Research & Best Practices: Conduct ongoing market research to understand customer behaviour, market trends, and competitor activity. Stay updated on emerging digital marketing trends and platforms to optimize event promotion. Use this information to inform and improve marketing activation strategies.

Requirements

  • Diploma in marketing, communications, events management or a related field.
  • Proven experience (at least 5 years’ experience) in event marketing, database and membership management, preferably in a professional or educational environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for different marketing channels.
  • Good understanding of different marketing platforms, such as email marketing tools, social media management tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the Human Resources field and professional development events is a plus.
  • Comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment and can adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Have basic graphic design work and familiarity with Canva and/or knowledge of basic video editing (an advantage to have but not a requirement)
