Project Coordinator
Salary: $2,800 - $4,500
Working Hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
Work Location: Island wide (Will need to station at different project site majority of the time)
Main role is to assist current and new projects or other administrative matters. Reports to
the Project Manager, Site Manager or Project Engineers.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with Management, Operations Managers and site Supervisors, to create project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Assist in procurement and logistics planning for materials and equipment.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
- Assist Project Manager in managing project progress, site workers, include truck drivers,
- wheel loader/excavator operators and general workers.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports.
- Prepare and update project status reports, ensuring accurate and timely
- communication with internal teams and clients.
Resource Coordination:
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Assist in resource allocation, including manpower and equipment, to meet project requirements.
Quality Control and Safety Compliance:
- Monitor operational activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety
- regulations.
- Assist in conducting regular safety inspections, reporting any safety concerns and rectifying safety concerns to ensure workplace safety.
Client Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients and consultants, addressing inquiries, resolving
- issues, and providing updates on project status.
- Foster positive client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Optimisation and Performance Improvement
- Assist with analysis of project progress through on-site observation and data analysis to
- identify areas for performance improvement.
- Assist with spend analysis to reduce project budget wastage and leakage.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction and building management, quantity surveying, project management, or maritime related degrees are preferred.
- Must possess Class 3 drivers license as candidate needs to manage various job sites independently.
- Willing to be hands-on and lead workers from the front.
- Must be highly adaptable to working at various jobsites, including exposure to outdoor working environments.
- Flexible working arrangement, but candidate must be willing to work long and irregular hours, including on weekends if projects are operational.
