We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RHEL Unix Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in managing and maintaining RHEL Unix systems, with proficiency in Ansible Tower, RedHat Satellite Server, and system hardening. This role involves incident management, change management, and providing 24x7 support as needed. The successful candidate will also support other Linux/Unix systems within the organization.
Administer and maintain RHEL Unix environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Manage Red Hat Satellite Server for patch management and configuration.
Use Ansible Tower for automation of routine tasks and complex deployments.
Implement and maintain system hardening guidelines to ensure security compliance.
Regularly update and patch systems to protect against vulnerabilities.
Respond to and resolve system incidents and issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Manage system changes in a controlled manner, adhering to change management protocols.
Provide on-call support on a rotation basis, responding to critical issues outside of regular business hours as needed.
Assist other tracks in managing and troubleshooting Linux/Unix systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall IT infrastructure.
Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, changes, and procedures.
Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a RHEL Unix Administrator.
Strong experience with Ansible Tower and Red Hat Satellite Server.
Proficient in Unix/Linux system hardening and security best practices.
Experience in incident and change management.
Ability to provide 24x7 support as needed.
