Roles & Responsibilities
- Support the cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Managing and maintaining the company-wide domain controller, Active Directory, group policies, Identity and Access Management (IAM), DNS settings, router configuration, IP settings, backup procedures, and LAN connections for both physical and virtual assets.
- Management of Cloud infrastructure set up & implementation projects.
- Specialize in the best practice design, operations, and support of private/public/hybrid cloud infrastructure including Network, Storage, Compute and Security.
- Provide detailed designs on the IT projects assigned ensuring right architecture and functionality.
- Support new technology implementation.
- Plan, design, install, test & implement systems in accordance to specifications & service level; Where relevant, perform the necessary system programming & configuration.
- Manage systems changes through established change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
- Respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
- Conduct root cause analysis & implement pro-active measures. Monitor effectiveness of implemented measures.
- Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability.
- Monitor the agreed service level (.e.g. service request, system availability),document & maintain the configuration of the systems; provide regular reporting to relevant parties.
- Plan & implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
- Provide systems related technical advice to customers or project team.
- Provide Support for production issues, Deployment activities on weekends, public holidays as required.
Requirements:
- Strong hands on skills and understanding of Microsoft Windows OS or Unix / Linux environment or Network Routing and switching experience.
- Knowledge and understanding on ITIL processes
- Good system security awareness and knowledge in OS / Network hardening.
- Must be proactive and possess a sense of urgency during service recovery.
- Support audit and compliance activities
- Monitor the servers and manage uptime in production environments using monitoring tools
- Knowledge in configuration management tools such as Puppet would be an advantage.
- Knowledge with Shell scripting, PowerShell would be advantage.
- Hands on experience in control-M automation job scheduling tools.
- Knowledge in virtualization, cloud and container technology (VMware vSphere, Aws/Azure/google, Docker, KVM).
