About the Role

As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our customers by providing 1st and 2nd level application support for our Scila products. You will be responsible for investigating and resolving incidents, providing training and demonstrations, and supporting our sales team in pre-sales activities.

Training on both technical and functional aspects of Scila’s products and IT landscape will be provided for the employee as part of the onboarding and the continuous competence development.

The technical environment:

The applications are java applications which are deployed in linux environments. They can either be deployed in the customer’s infrastructure or Scila’s infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level application support for Scila products
  • Investigate and resolve incidents reported by customers through phone or email
  • Utilize dashboards and monitoring tools to identify and troubleshoot issues
  • Access Linux machines through SSH to perform troubleshooting tasks
  • Provide general support and answer questions about Scila products
  • Train and demonstrate Scila products to customers
  • Support the sales team in pre-sales activities

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in IT / Engineering
  • Linux terminal skills
  • Proficient in English and Chinese
  • Excellent customer communication and relationship skills
  • A passion for helping others and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and Scila’s products
  • Interest in financial markets and trading

Prefered experience

  • 2+ years of experience in application support
  • Strong Linux terminal experience
  • Scripting skills (Bash, python, etc.)
  • Application/system monitoring, using tools Elk stack, opensearch, Kibana or similar
  • Operating java-applications
  • Network troubleshooting
  • AWS management (VPC, EC2, etc.)
  • JIRA for issue tracking
  • Experience from financial markets, trading, risk or AML
