RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drives Sustainable Procurement Initiatives University wide.
- Communication and Collaboration with stakeholders, colleagues on Sustainable Procurement initiatives.
- In depth management of vendors’ sustainability initiatives and ensuring direction is aligned with SMU’s.
- Risk Management with regards to Sustainable Procurement.
- Category Management for selected category areas.
- In-depth knowledge of category areas and supply base.
- Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define action plans for improvement and optimization.
- Drive cost down and devise negotiation plans.
- Supplier Relationship Management.
- Contract Management.
- Track performance of suppliers and category areas, including corrective actions where necessary.
- Degree with at least 12 years work experience in sourcing and category management in Indirect/Services Procurement.
- Experience in sustainable procurement is preferred.
- Sustainable Procurement knowledge.
- Supply Base knowledge in assigned categories.
- Tech knowledge in assigned categories.
- Experienced in Category Management in Indirect Procurement & Services or IT.
- Ability to devise Commodity Strategy based on Stakeholder Requirements and Category’s attributes/supply base.
- Supplier Relationship Management Skills.
- Negotiation Skills.
- Ability to understand, engage and influence stakeholders on requirements of assigned categories.
- Provide market input and supply roadmaps into decision making process.
- Drives changes to requirements and engage suppliers to supply SMU’s needs at optimal cost, quality and speed.
