Our client is a listed company in marine and shipping industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Safety Manager to join their Safety Team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West area – easily accessible.
Duties of Safety Manager:
- Lead the oversight and maintenance of the company's QHSSE policies and systems both onboard vessels and within the office environment.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of QHSSE-related audits and inspections across vessels and office premises.
- Uphold and manage the documentation pertaining to the QHSSE department, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, conducting comprehensive root cause analyses.
- Monitor and enhance the Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment (RA), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
- Develop ship security plans and ship security assessments in alignment with ISM and ISPS codes.
- Perform regular vessel inspections, confirming adherence to ISM and ISPS standards.
- Conduct shipboard training sessions to elevate safety and security awareness among crew members.
Requirements:
- Possess certifications in Internal Auditing, ISM/ISPS Auditing, Company Security Officer (CSO), and Designated Person Ashore (DPA).
- At least 1 - 2 years experience in QHSSE supervisory functions
- Knowledge of offshore and onshore operations
- Experience with Seafaring is an added advantage
