RESPONSIBILITIES
New Business Development (New Clients/Organic Growth)
· Identify new opportunities and determine suitability
· Driving organic growth and diversification
· Lead preparation and delivery of organic growth or new business proposal content & in-person pitch meetings
· Coordinating & pursuing cross-account/practice & global business opportunities
Business Acumen and Strategic Thinking
· Oversee team utilization, financial & resource management issues
· Contribute to agency strategic planning initiatives
· Educate & oversee team on cross agency activity
· Ability to detect & mitigate possible issues, conflicts & disruptions in the business
Client Engagement
· Lead client engagements, serving as day-to-day account senior lead to multiple clients
· Demonstrate success in nurturing, growing and sustaining client relationships
· Implements communication programs and assessment of campaign success in accordance with client planning process
· Manages and tracks budgets ensuring programs are delivered on budget and within client’s expectations
· Ensure flawless execution of all program elements across multichannel programs that incorporate digital and social media communications
· Establish strong collaboration and communication across account teams
Stakeholder Influence Engagement
· Manage, build, and grow relationships with key, senior-level stakeholders (media, analysts, key opinion leaders etc.)
· Solicit & share feedback/perception stakeholders regarding client(s), competition & position in the industry in order to counsel clients & inform actions
· Identify global, digital & social communication trends; educate clients/agency
· Conceive & tell strategic stories apart from client business milestones
Integrated Communication
· Develop integrated communication programs covering social, digital and corporate communication
· Strong capability in corporate communication including issues and crisis management, executive profiling, corporate leadership positioning and thought
People Leadership
· Mentor and motivate staff with the goal of retention and development
· Oversee resource allocation across team including staffing/hiring/on boarding new talent
· Help ensure team is cross-trained & have a broad understanding of other businesses
· Partner with Human Resources to manage employee relations issues
· Manage up & educate senior staff on crisis issues, & client/team satisfaction
· Model & hold team accountable to demonstrating agency values
REQUIREMENTS
· A minimum 12 years of experience preferably from a communications agency
· Client and business environment: Customer service orientation is a must
· Proven track record in corporate communications in particular corporate resilience, executive communication and issues management
· Fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking etc.)
· Roll your sleeves up, lead-from-the-front style leadership. Does more than directs
· Strong presentation and consulting skills, business development skills, along with good track-record of winning business pitches
· Fluency in English (written and spoken) required. A second regional language such as Mandarin would be a bonus
