Job Purpose
As an FXD Ops in our Singapore office, you will help to manage the day-to-day operation of our FX trading business. This person will be part of a small, hands-on team with an entrepreneurial spirit and will have the opportunity to work with other groups across the firm to refine operational procedures.
You will have a keen attention to detail, data integrity mindset and be someone who thrives off learning new skills and challenging yourself. You will be a natural team player who can use their strong interpersonal skills to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide operational support for FX trading business, with an emphasis on optimizing reconciliation and post trade settlement procedures
· Liaise with internal cash management and operations teams
· Monitor pending settlements
· Provide back-office support and good customer experience to both internal and external stakeholders
· Assist to streamline communications between trading desk, the cash management team and operations / back- office teams and ensure discrepancies and exceptions are investigated and resolved promptly
· Performing trade and money reconciliations with other banks, counterparties and LPs and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Ensure compliance to key controls and regulatory changes
· Identify opportunities for process improvements or automation, implement solutions to achieve operation efficiency
· Provide administrative support, documentation and statistic collation.
· Involvement in project and business initiatives
· Any other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the Management from time to time
Qualifications
· Min. Diploma or its equivalent qualifications
· Required Competencies and Skills
· Keen attention to detail, data integrity and strong ownership / accountability mindset and excellent organizational skills
· Proficiency in MS Excel; previous experience working with VBA or other tools for automation and process improvement (preferred)
· Analytical mind to diagnose issues and ability to provide solution is paramount.
· High sense of urgency and dedication to efficiency
· Strong communication skills and stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
