As a Banking Transformation Consultant (Commercial Banking Domain) you will help IBM in pursuit of nurturing/leading opportunities relating to business transformation enabled by digital re-invention, intelligent banking, implementation and modernization of digital banking platforms for global and super regional banks. The successful candidate will have experience in go to market consulting/solutioning/delivery roles with large enterprises on Banking & Technology Strategy esp. with Japanese Banks.

You will be an accomplished Senior Banking Managing Consultant and drive IBM’s consistent growth by bringing to the table your business development, sales, and delivery skills thus differentiating IBM’s propositions. Picture yourself working with a highly motivated and successful team within IBM’s Core Banking & Payments (CB&P) Industry Transformation Unit.

About the job - In This Role You Will

  • Maximize growth for IBM Consulting through enabling new business signings, revenue, and profit from the banking industry. Additionally, identify and advance new business opportunities to closure.
  • Be responsible for shaping deals and to lead teams to prepare proposals for clients, and initial selling of the offering working with go-to-market financial services sector teams (in-country)
  • Lead a virtual, multi-disciplinary team of talented consultants to deliver consulting and transformation engagements
  • Bring deep industry expertise in digital/core banking (commercial), pioneering banking transformation across business, operations, and technology
  • Evangelize growth and eminence of Core banking at IBM by supporting thought leadership and practice development activities
  • Provide innovative ideas with our clients’ to explore disruptive strategies that create business value
  • Promote IBM’s unique value proposition in the market built around IBM’s banking services and assets. Specialized in Digital Transformation, Intelligent Banking , Banking Operations (Commercial), Banking Services Operating Model, and end-to-end processing
  • Build, grow, and steward client relationships. Assist in client satisfaction and maintaining a strong client relationship through delivery excellence.
  • Utilize your banking domain expertise across Deposits, Lending, Trade Finance/Supply Chain Finance and/or Cash Management domain with excellent communication skills and strong knowledge of business / functional architecture, experience not only with pre-sales but with delivery of consulting/technology programs in retail banking space.

About You - Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10+ years of working in Commercial Banking domain, Consulting skills (Functional/technical) & client facing roles in Singapore or ASEAN Market
  • Extensive experience leading pre-sales discussions with clients from executive to C-level, including a proven ability to define and shape winning solutions for Corporate & Commercial Banking clients
  • Strong knowledge and experience across Deposits, Lending, Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance and/or Cash Management domain
  • Extensive experience in leading banking transformations formulating multi-party complex solutions working with ecosystem partners in Core Banking space
  • Knowledge of current technical market trends, including Cloud, Cognitive, & Digital
  • Experience selling & delivering consulting services projects
  • Experience managing and leading teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

About You - Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Expertise with various Banking solutions would be highly advantageous
  • Experience of managing and leading a global / virtual team highly desirable
  • Experience of building and managing relationships upto and including C-level
