We have an opening for the following position:
Billing Secretary (Litigation Department)
Responsibility
· Opening new legal files and /or closing legal files which have concluded.
· Preparing billing invoices.
· Liaising with internal and external stake holders to ensure the complete, accurate and timely capture and inclusion of disbursements in the invoices.
· Preparing and raising payment vouchers, waivers and/or credit and debit notes.
· Following up with third parties on their payments for disbursements.
· Preparing monthly billing reports.
· Performing any other duties in relation to the preparation of billing invoices.
Requirements
· Proficient in Office 365 with a focus on Microsoft Excel and is IT savvy.
· Meticulous, able to multi-task and has good organisational skills.
· Good command of spoken and written English.
· Able to work independently but also be a Team player.
· Accountable.
· Comfortable with and quick in learning and adapting to legal billing software.
· Relevant work experience in law firms is advantageous.
· Experience with practice management 3E platform is a bonus.
