Manager- Finance Department

Lead and manage the Finance Team to enable accounts administration in compliance with SFRS and Financial guidelines. Work independently and handle the key projects to enhance operational efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Accounts Payable/Receivable/General Ledger functions ensuring compliance with Financial & Procurement guidelines and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
  • Handle Budget Consolidation during the Mid-year and Annual Budget Exercises
  • Preparation of Financial/Management reports and PowerPoint slides for the Key Stakeholders’ Meetings (Internal & External)
  • Guide and mentor the team towards optimum performance
  • Plan and maintain work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of the team
  • Work with the appointed auditors for statutory and internal audits
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly GST reports
  • Develop, implement and update/maintain robust financial policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Participate in SINDA-wide events when required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance, or an equivalent professional accountancy certification is preferred.
  • Membership with a recognised Chartered Accounting body is preferred
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the accounting/audit field, with at least 3 years of management experience
  • Experience in cloud-based Finance solutions such as Oracle NetSuite
  • Data mining skills with the ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
  • Proficient in MS Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across various levels
  • Meticulous, good organisational and time-management skills

This is a 2- year contract position, convertible to a permanent role subject to the performance and divisional requirements.
