Our client is a Global MNC, one of the leading players in the Pharmaceuticals sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Sourcing Specialist (Indirect) to be part of their team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West – easily accessible
Note: This is a 1-year contract position, renewable and convertible.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sourcing and management of the assigned category of materials within the Indirect function
- Participate in the entire Source to Pay process flow for the designated category being assigned
- Establish/Attain performance objectives to enhance overall delivered commodity expenses and quality
- Implement/Improve the company’s procurement initiatives and processes, seeking feedback on the effectiveness of the company’s procurement programs
- Acquire materials/components through requisition checks, obtaining the necessary quotations, and issuing the required RFP/RFQ
- Conduct the necessary bid analysis for the company, and handle/oversee the whole process, from contracting to the awarding of tenders
- Identify alternative supply sources in the event where the current vendors/suppliers are insufficient
- Coordinate procurement activities with stakeholders from various departments to maintain healthy inventory levels
- Handle/Oversee the cost and scope of the company’s assigned subcontracts to ensure optimal quality and value
- Update/Maintain all purchasing-related master data (eg. Contract, Source list, and Current Prices etc.)
- Oversee compliance with respect to the company’s procurement policies, and participate/oversee the necessary vendor qualifications
- Standardize the company’s procurement procedures, and manage the various supplier relationships and scorecards
- All other adhoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management or other relevant field of studies
- Minimum 3 years of relevant sourcing experience
