- Perform the inspection as per the client contract, applicable Codes, standard and specifications.
- Verify equipment used in inspection is properly calibrated.
- Interpret data from the inspection and report the results.
- Perform inspections of Pressure Vessels in manufacturer / fabricator premises in Vietnam.
- Occasionally perform inspections of the above equipment in other countries as needed.
- Monitoring inspection or inspection as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) shall be undertaken.
- Perform inspection work in both onshore and offshore as required.
- Pressure vessel, Heat Exchanger, Boiler, Heater etc inspections shall be performed to cover ASME AI requirements.
- Review QA Manual, Procedures, and work instruction.
- Witness and approve WPS, PQR and Welder Qualification.
- Witness NDT and review and approve NDT reports, and review RT films.
- Inspector shall perform third party inspection as per ASME, DOSH (Malaysia), MOM (Singapore), MHLW (Japan) PED (European Notified Inspector for Pressure Directive) as necessary.
- Perform API 510 Authorized Inspector job: Pressure Vessel In-service inspection, Rating, Repair and Alteration.
- Perform API-570 Authorized Inspector job: Inservice Inspection, Rating, Repair and Alteration.
- Perform API-653 Authorized Inspector job: Tank Inspection, Repair and Re-construction.
- Perform ISO 9001 audit.
- Inspector shall provide inspection services as per drawing, specification, P&ID, PFD, equipment list, codes, standards, regulatory requirements etc as applicable.
- Acceptance and rejection shall be clearly stated as per acceptance criteria.
- Rejected items shall be suitably handled by issuing Non-Conformance Report (NCR)
- Checklist will be used for inspection which will be provided in advance by the office.
- Interpret data from the inspections, records and report the results.
- Interact with the clients closely and answer client questions.
- Take photos as necessary to substantiate the findings (positive findings and anomalies)
- Prepare and issue Report of Activity/ inspection reports,
- Perform JSA, risk assessment as and when required.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly time sheets to the supervisor/manager for his approval.
- Maintain good communication and relationship with clients and the supervisor/ manager.
Requirements:
- Degree in mechanical or metallurgy engineering
- ASME AI qualification
- Familiar with various materials and their welding technology is an advantage.
- At least 10 years industry experience in oil and Gas, and Offshore industries
- Experience in piping, pressure vessels, heat exchanger, boiler, heater, storage tanks
- Knowledge on relevant Codes and Standard – ASME, API 510, API 570, API 650 etc.
- Good communication skill in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Working experience in Third Party Inspection company
