Overall Job Purpose:
Project Coordination, mainly covering the support for Delivery Manager in meeting set up and
coordination with Exxon and Internal parties, for the issues related to Topside Delivery.
Completes assigned projects scope by organizing and controlling project elements. Responsible to coordinate across organization to identify potential risks from EPCI activities to find the best trade-off point, and moving the assigned the EPCI activities forward toward project target.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned work scope as assigned by the Topside DM. Assigned with project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans. Understand the contract documents, including identification of pending matters, to obtain clarification of any unclear information.
- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
- Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements. Manage schedule & targets of the project as equired.
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
- Responsible for coordinating internal meetings (with in MODEC) and external (with class and/or Client) for resolving issues when required.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; resolving problems and recommending actions. Responsible for resolving interface issues and coordinating closure of issues between engineering, procurement and construction and commissioning activities.
- Controls project costs by reviewing and administering contractor contracts.
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information andtrends; recommending actions. Give feedback to line management for improvements as required.
- Maintain adherence to HSEQ requirements by promoting safe and quality conscious working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Monitor and Guide all discipline lead engineers on project requirements. Report development requirements of engineers/office facilities
- Support project management team in ensuring proper handling of change management process.
- Facilitate cohesive and discipline environment in the assigned location. Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Qualification: (either one)
a) Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum five (5) years’ experience in Project
Engineer experience onshore/offshore Oil & Gas area or shipyard or FPSO line(s)
or
b) Diploma holders having eight (8) years’ experience with additional qualification
(making the equivalent to degree) can also be considered.
Certification(s):
Preferably with Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
Relevant Experience:
a) General knowledge of the technologies covering offshore facilities plus significant
knowledge of two disciplines.
b) Understanding of EPCI execution process, project target, and translate it into plans
and actions.
c) Regularly in touch with vendors for new/updated equipment/product design.
d) Demonstrates good verbal, written and presentation skills.
e) Possess interpersonal skills to work with across functional and managerial boundaries,
and multi-national workforce.
f) Well spoken english and Japanese to communicate with internal stakeholders.
