Role Overview:

As a Desktop Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of desktop support specialists to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of desktop systems within our organization. Your primary focus will be on managing and supporting end-user devices, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and overseeing the deployment of desktop solutions. In addition to technical expertise, you will play a crucial role in team leadership, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring that support services align with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor a team of desktop support specialists.

2. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems.

3. Provide escalated technical support for complex desktop issues.

4. Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and implement desktop support policies and procedures.

5. Ensure timely resolution of desktop-related incidents and service requests.

6. Conduct regular team training sessions to enhance technical skills.

7. Manage hardware and software inventory for desktop systems.

8. Collaborate with other IT teams to implement desktop-related projects.

9. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices.

10. Act as a point of contact for desktop-related vendor relationships.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.

- Proven experience in desktop support with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

- Strong technical proficiency in desktop hardware, software, and operating systems.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills.

- Familiarity with ITIL practices is a plus.

- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are advantageous.
