RESPONSIBILITIES

The purpose of the Senior Manager (Accounts) is to oversee and manage the accounting and financial reporting functions of NVPC.  The role involves financial reporting, ensuring financial compliance with the relevant accounting standards, reporting requirements and ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records and documentation.  This is a critical role to ensure the financial health and compliance of NVPC and providing the Leadership Team with accurate financial information to enable informed decision making and long term financial stability of NVPC.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Finance Reporting/Compliance

  • Lead and manage the monthly Financial Reporting, Quarterly & Yearly Statutory Filings and ensure all reports/data are prepared and presented accurately to the stipulated timeline.
  • Ensure all reporting and statutory timelines as listed under the measurement column are met.
  • Ensure to provide relevant and reliable information for the management’s decision making
  • Work with auditors to facilitate external/internal audits and maintain strong internal controls

Cash and Tax Management

  • Ensure the Grant disbursement from MCCY and other revenue is received timely
  • Oversee accounts payables and ensure all payments to vendors is accurate and timely
  • Oversee GST reporting function.

Budgeting

  • Assist in the Budgeting, ensure that the resources allocation is in accordance to organisation’s strategy.
  • Review the monthly budget utilisation to access the organisation progress

Others

  • Continuously review and improve processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial information and insights Undertake ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required by senior management
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to ensure tasks completion
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) equivalent
  • 4-6 years of experience in financial accounting
  • Knowledge of Charities Code of Governance
  • Familiar with Charity Accounting Standards and Charity regulation is preferred.
  • IRAS Charities Regulation
  • Budgeting experience and knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Sound judgement and high level of integrity
  • Versatile team player, willing to engage in diverse roles beyond finance and accounting function
